The Ludlow 21 'Local to Ludlow' campaign, now in its 16th year, has an exciting new outlet to support the promotion of local produce.

The door to this new establishment will open this Friday November 26th just in time for the Christmas season. Come along to the new Local to Ludlow headquarters at 4 Castle Square, which will be a cafe and shop selling locally-produced food and drink and other goods.

The shop will also act as an information hub for Ludlow 21 and for other Local to Ludlow activities, which include the twice-monthly Local Produce Market, the green bags and a website listing local producers, shops and accommodation.
The cafe will serve cakes, local cheese and charcuterie platters, seasonal soups, cold cut pies accompanied by local beer, cider, wine and perry and locally roasted coffee and fair-trade tea. All sources will be clearly stated on the menu. On sale in the very small shop will be bags, aprons, gift hampers and other items supporting our aims to help people cook, eat and grow sustainably.
This new venture is a Community Interest Company that will plough back any surplus into supporting educational and other local food and drink initiatives in the Ludlow area.
Kate Norman, Chair, adds, 'An outlet in the middle of Ludlow to promote local produce is an opportunity too good to miss. It's a big step but a natural progression for the Local to Ludlow campaign which we hope both local people and visitors will support'.
